It was so good to spend a day at the Royal British Legion Village in Aylesford, Maidstone.
I was commissioned to photograph a day in the life of the village, highlighting the facilities and the people living there. I never realised the extent of what the RBLI do for ex servicemen and their families. Not only are there homes but there is a factory on site providing people with work, hospital facilities, shops and an excellent cafe called Base Station.
The day was a real eye opener and realisation of how lucky we are not only to have all those who fight for our country but to also have an organisation that supports them back home.
