When I was booked by a client back in January to photograph their staff taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in 48 hours, I thought this is going to be a tough shoot and it was! But I have to say it was the most rewarding challenge I have ever done.
I started training for the 26 mile hike up and down Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis around 2 months before the event. A mix of hill walking and gym workouts ensured that I could be as ready as possible within the timeframe I had. I’m so glad I did this as it definitely improved my leg muscles and overall fitness.
Come the day, nothing could have prepared the 26 of us for the three hikes, there is no terrain that can match these mountains, but we were determined to complete the challenge and we did! I am proud to have spent a couple of days with such great people who were always positive, determined and a good laugh too. Here’s a random selection of images I took and even a few of me for a change!
